Vans of cleaning crews with PHC Restoration line up outside Triton High School Saturday after mildew was found on campus Friday.
Cleaning crews descended on Triton High School Saturday and Sunday to eliminate mold and mildew growth that popped up over the summer break.
“Due to some malfunctioning HVAC units, Triton High School has experienced increased levels of humidity within the building leading to some mold/mildew growth which district staff has been cleaning and mitigating,” said Natalie Ferrell, public information officer for Harnett County Schools. “Late Friday afternoon an area was discovered in the gym and work was done this weekend to clean up and mitigate this area prior to the arrival of students on Monday.”
